CORE CASHLESS TO INSTALL ITS STATE OF THE ART ELECTRONIC TICKETING SYSTEM AT LUNA PARK IN CONEY ISLAND
CORE Cashless Inc. announced today that it has entered into contract to provide its Total Park Solution™ electronic ticketing and management
system at Luna Park. Currently under construction by Central Amusement International, Luna Park will not only be Coney Island’s newest park
but will signal the re-birth of Brooklyn’s famed amusement area.
CAI, having recently been designated by the Bloomberg Administration to spearhead Coney Island’s re-development is investing $30 million in the
construction and operation of the 6.2 acre Luna Park. The park will be Coney Island’s largest and is scheduled to open this coming Memorial Day
weekend. CORE Cashless, aided by High Mountain Enterprises now joins in this aggressive construction and deployment program.
CAI currently operates three parks including Victorian Gardens in Central Park. Is rides are manufactured by Zamperla, Inc., located in Italy.
Peter Pelle, CAI Vice President said “We are excited to have been chosen by the City of New York to spark Coney Island’s renaissance. Luna
Park will be a source of family entertainment that we and our guests will be proud of. The inclusion of the Total Park Solution ticketing system
will guarantee a quick and easy way for our guests to enjoy the park while enhancing our own management capabilities.”
The inclusion of CORE’s industry leading Total Park Solution fast forwards Coney Island into today’s technological era. Park guests will no longer
purchase paper ride tickets but instead be able to enjoy the rides and purchase food and beverages with the
use of a card. On the surface, this system provides a customer friendly and efficient method for families to enjoy the park. Park patrons may
choose the pay as you go plan whereby tickets values are deducted at each ride taken or ride time whereby they can enjoy unlimited rides for a
specified period of time. The system takes customer service to new heights as for the first time, ride cards and wrist bands will be available for
purchase online before leaving home for a fun filled Coney Island day. In the background Total Park Solution also provides park management with
state of the art safety, park monitoring, marketing, management, and payroll systems. Considered the industry leader, CORE systems have been
serving amusement parks, family entertainment centers, arcades, cruise ships and museums and other attractions for many years.
CORE Development Director Brooks Lilly said “We are very pleased to be a part of the team. CORE looks forward to working with CAI to provide a
flexible system that will grow with the park to provide Coney Island visitors with the most enjoyable experience possible and management with
the dependability and resources it needs to succeed in a big way.”
High Mountain Enterprises, an industry consulting firm, which also represents CORE, served as facilitator and will assist in the deployment of the
system.
Joe Montalto, High Mountain President said, “Luna Park is the most positive news to come from Coney Island in too many years. I’m looking
forward to working with this impressive team of industry professionals to enhance the park experience for all who visit this summer and for
many years to come.”
